You will be surprised on my double stand on India TV. At one hand, I am praising the channel and on the other hand, I am criticizing it. Let me clear the cause...
India TV, on the Independence Day, disclosed a big story that there were two terrorists, as CRPF constables, were in the PM’s security. India TV disclosed this story and put a big question in front of top security agencies of India.
The channel has done a good job. They disclosed the failure of the top officers, who take care for the PM’s security arrangement that how they deputed two former terrorists-turned-CRPF constables in the PM’s security.
On the other hand, India TV has done a shameful act. Let me tell you, why?
The two CRPF constables (called terrorists repeatedly by India TV’s anchors Rajat Sharma and Sudhir Choudhary) are presently posted in somewhere in Northeast. One of their colleague, who is expelled from CRPF for not taking care of his Carbine, disclosed the matter to media that they were terrorists.
Then, the channel suddenly got the big news that they were terrorists of Hizbul-Muzahidin who had got training in POK.
India TV got the news some days before; they looked in to the matter and disclosed it on the Indepaendence day.
The two so-called terrorists were formerly terrorist that is truth. BUT after that What India TV Has Done Is a Shameful Act.
The government of India repeatedly says to the Indian youth who are turning to be terrorist and extremist or to terrorists to return to the mainstream of life. The Government always makes promise to those people to help in living good life.
Whenever the PM visits Jammu and Kashmir and Northeastern states, He normally delivers this line in his speech.
Now have a look on the story of the two so-called terrorists what I got to know from the channel only. One of the so-called terrorists was formerly a terrorist of Hizbul Muzahidin and had got the training in POK and was the resident of Baramula.
He surrendered before the army way back in 1995. The second one, who had almost same history, had surrendered before army in 1998.
After that, they are doing job in CRPF. Now the India TV has spread the news in the air that they are terrorist.
There are some questions to India TV by ‘India daily’...
A) After living 11 and 8 years in mainstream life, how can one be stated as terrorist?
B) They served for some time for PM’s security (according to the TV news), why did not they make any attempt to PM, what does it shows.
C) What is their mistake, did they force their seniors, the security agency, Home Ministry or the PMO to arrange their deputation in the PM’s security.
D) How can India TV termed them as Terrorist, when they are serving the nation right now, doing their job in CRPF.
E) What will happen to those two so-called terrorist after this news, people will again recognize them as terrorist.
F) Why India TV chosen the Independence Day to disclose the matter, with showing the visuals of PM with a gunpoint.
G) Did not the message went that no matter what you are today, if you were a terrorist in past, he cannot live a normal life any more.
H) When did the news channels will change its habit to sensationalize any matter?
I) Why did not India TV disclose the name of the officers who usually deputes the people to PM’s security. This is their mistake, why did they depute the people without going back in their history.
Now I have an question to you, did the news channel do the right thing as it called them as terrorists?

Rajat Sharma will go to any distance to sell his channel. His method of sensationalizing the serious issue by making criminals out of reformed terrorists is despicable to say the least.
Also, the programme showed journalistic poignancy by Rajat’s remark on how the suspects were questioned for a month – hanging them upside down, being beaten and subjecting them to brain mapping and polygraph tests.
The people of India would like to know from where did Rajat get the information of the torture being carried out on uniformed soldiers of a central paramilitary force?! I can vouch for the fact that no police officer/investigating agency can go on record to say what Rajat ‘disclosed’.
Rajat Sharma also tried to mislead the viewers by going to a commercial break promising to reveal some sensational revelations after coming on air. He did come back but was repeating the same old story again and again like a broken record.
How come Rajat Sharma is so authoritative in his repeated comments that the 3 ex-militants involved (or questioned) in the incident are terrorists where as all the inquiries and investigations followed after the carbine incident absolved them of all kinds of wrongdoing, so much so, that they are still in service with the same battalions they were in?
The ex-militants who were posted for the PM’s security were mere foot soldiers. Their postings, movements are not governed by their own will but on the orders of the Home Ministry and Force honchos and the blame (if any) have to be borne only by them.
Rajat must come up with an answer, else, this will tantamount to yellow journalism to sell his channel to the Indian public. VK Malhotra’s comments on the programme smacked of immaturity. I guess the incident gave the BJP got another straw to clutch onto from saving them by giving them one more day in the Parliament for a gush of verbal diarrhea. He promised that on 17th!
Shameless politicians dancing to the tune of yellow journalism is what we saw on our 59th anniversary of Independence.

i really respect u and ur news channel.. but i want to clear onething that y u always blame muslims for terroruist activities,.,, regardaing male gaon... its not yet clear who has done it but fingures are being pointed towards muslims...... y cannot be it hindu erxtreanmist.... for example they sent ATS for investigation as ATS has bad record in maharashtra.... as we all know that few hindus were caught red handed in NANDED CITY OF MAHARASHTRA .. and a case was lodged against them with full proof,,, but after ATS tokk over they put a application in court to release them if it was a muslim .. u know what were be the results..... y cannot be it a hindu to blast in male goan... u also know about gujrat. hoe poloce AND RAPID ACTION FORCE ALONG WITH C.M AND HIS TEAM IN GUJRAT WERE SUPPORTING ONLY ONE SIDE AND LET THEM KILL THE MUSLIMS BRUTALLY....
