Missile technology



The house of representatives in the American Congress has approved the The United States and India Nuclear Cooperation Promotion Act of 2006. On the other hand, US administration has imposed sanctions on two Indian firms. They are charged of doing missile related deal with Iran.



Congressional critics have blamed the administration that it intentionaly delayed the official notification and just waitfor the comfortable approval of nuke-deal in the HOR.



The United States has imposed at least eight non-proliferation sanctions against atleast seven Indian companies since 2003



At the same time, the Bush administration has continuously defended India on the ground of protecting sensitive technology and termed India as responsible country.
