The New York Times reports that the young and educated brand of Indian Muslims is being drawn directly into terrorist operations by those outfits.

Somini Sengupta writes in the New York Times as July 11 attacks has shown that that one terrorist cell, made up of some local people that was possibly under the command of militants based in Pakistan has carried out the bombings.

The most dangerous trend is emerging silently with the grow of complicated terror cells inside the country. This is fastly becoming as a threat to not only national security, but also for regional politics, communal harmony and diplomatic relation with Pakistan.

According to C. Raja Mohan, Indian Express columnist and a member of the National Security Advisory Board,

small part of Indian Muslim community has been radicalized that’s what is making it more problematic for the country as a whole to deal with.

Eight men are arrested in the connection with 7/11 blasts. Some of them are doctor of traditional Islamic medicine and largely self-taught software workers.

According to the Indian authority, Six of them have trained at terrorist camps in Pakistan by the militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba and they are linked with the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI).

India’s national security adviser, M. K. Narayanan says in the interview with CNN IBN,
The terrorist outfits across the border are influencing the Muslim youths of India. That is largely true. A manifest attempt to recruit Indian Muslims is now being done by those organizations. They are aiming at educated Indian Muslims and at elements within the military.

The incidents of anti-Muslim violence in India are being used by the terrorist outfits as is a powerful recruitment tool.
