Children are waiting and planning to celebrate Teachers’ Day on September 5. On the other hand, the teachers are planning to observe the day as ‘Mourning Day’.
The All India Federation of University and College Teachers Organization (AIFUCTO) has decided to observe the teachers’ day as Mourning Day.
The Federation of University and College Teachers Association in Karnataka (FUCTAK), Kanpur University Association and the Federation of the Uttar Pradesh University College Teachers’ Association (FUPUCTA) and many more teachers’ organization have said they will observe Teachers Day as Mourning Day. They are doing it to denounce the murder of Prof Harbhajan Singh Sabharwal of Madhav College, Ujjain.
Are we able to find one good cause to celebrate the ‘Teachers day’ in our country, where students kill a respectable college teacher?

Society by large is suffering from the sticky quagmire of unbreakable gap in teacher-student relationship. The day by day, it is becoming fragile than before. The Ujjain incident, in which a professor has been brutally killed by some student leaders, is the stark reminder. I personally feel that there is no need to celebrate the teachers’ day so long we shelter our so called student leaders.
i think teachers day is not important.
