Earlier the Rajasthan government has its own story on the missing Biti Mohanty. According to the earlier reports, the Rajasthan government had claimed that the Orissa DGP BB Mohanty is hiding his son, an accused for raping a German tourist in Jaipur. The Minister Gulab Chandrs Kataria had said that the government is about to lodge an FIR against the Orissa DGP.
On the other hand, BB Mohanty has come out with another theory in this matter. He completely rejected the claim made by the Rajasthan government that he helped his son to be released on Parole.
He also rejected the claim that he ever gone to Jaipur for that matter. He said that he never has met his son since November 20 last year.
However, On Wednesday, the Rajasthan government had filed an FIR against the BB Mohanty for helping a prisoner in lawful custody to escape and hiding a prisoner wanted by police.
Mohanty said that
I have not received any communication from any authority informing me about the alleged release of my son on parole. We have all along awaited reply to our representations and his release.
He said it while received the so cause notice by a Jaipur court asking for the recovery of surety sum of Rs 50,000.
He said further that
there is absolutely no question of my going to Jaipur. I was official duty on November 20 in Orissa and was not in Jaipur as is being claimed by Rajasthan authorities.
The twist of the tale is that the Jaipur ADM J R Bhadu has told that BB Mohanty had come to submit Biti’s parole application.
He said that
As Biti was lodged in Jaipur Central Jail, his father had come in person and given the surety Of Rs 50,000 in November. He had showed me his I-card also. He is giving a wrong statement and misleading officials here.
According to BB Mohanty, he and his family wanted Biti to come on parole to see his ailing grandmother. But he denied that he ever had gone to Jaipur to do so.
Now the statement made by the DGP, Orissa, has peeved Rajasthan government to file a second FIR on Wednesday charging him under Sections 120 and 130 of IPC.
If the Mohanty senior is proved guilty, he could face imprisonment ranging from 10 years to life for conspiring against the state.
