The shift of power in Uttar Pradesh Assembly is now ready to create problems for so many people in UP. According to the report, Anil Ambani-promoted multi-product SEZ in Noida may face the problem first.
The Mayawati Government has approached the Centre and expressed the reservation on the land allotment process applied in the SEZ by the previous government in UP.
The state government has said that the allotted land should remain in adjoining areas. As far as the multi-product SEZ in Noida is concerned, the grounds allotted are not in adjoining area. This is a basic requirement for the approval of such kind of project.

The Mulayam government had allotted the lands to the SEZ that was proposed to be developed on a 1200-acre site in Noida. Now, the new government has found flaws in the approval for the SEZ in Noida.
According to UP Cabinet Secretary Shanshank Shekhar, a 3-member committee, headed by Principal Secretary (Finance), has detected that the basic requirements and norms had not been followed in approval to the project.
Shanshank Shekhar said:
The land plot is not contagious. There exists a road in the middle of the land.

He further said that the guidelines for the proposal were also not followed in the proposed SEZ. Now, the State Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mayawati, has decided not to forward the ADA SEZ Noida proposal to central government for further process.
The political experts said on the decision taken by UP government that this is more a decision to deal with Anil Ambani’s proximity to Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh. However, this may be called as the beginning of Maya’s story as there are so many other persons in the ‘hit-list’.
