
Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries Ltd has finally launched Reliance Fresh, its first retail venture in Hyderabad. RIL is planning to launch 11 more retail stores in the city. You can find fresh fruits, vegetables dal, atta, rice as well the company’s in-house products too.
RIL is in planning to set up Ranger Farms outlets to serve fresh vegetables too in the streetside.
It will open from 2 am to 9 am. Delhi and Mumbai are the next destination for the company’s new venture. RIL has already announced to invest Rs 25,000 crore over the next five years in the retail business with its 4,000 retail outlets in different cities.
The next venture in retail will be Feel Fresh Plus in which customers could find fruits and vegetables as well as apparel, consumer electronics, FMCG items and medicines too.
According to Retail consultancy Technopak Advisors, the size of India’s retail industry is about $300 billion and it will go to $427 billion by the end of 2010.
