Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has urged the visiting French President that it must be fair to Mittal on his bid to take over of the Luxembourg-based Arcelor.



Mittal’s company Mittal Steel is facing very stiff resistance in its bid to take over Arcelor with the Luxembourg government trying to pass a law stopping his company from taking over Arcelor.



Earlier India said that it won’t remain a mute spectator should such a thing happens.
