
Earlier, Orkut, Google’s social networking site, has been faced a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) by Advocate Yugant R Marlapalle in Aurangabad bench of Bombay High Court for spreading anti-Indian words on Internet.
Now, Subodh Balsaraf, a Thane resident has also had gone to the court against the Orkut for running an anti-Shivaji community on its site.
Later, a division bench of Justices H S Bedi and V M Kanade of the Bombay High Court has issued a directive to the state government.
The court asked for the reply in connection with a plea filed by the Thane resident. The plea has demanded to ban the social networking site, Orkut. The court has asked the government to reply within a week.
Subodh said in his PIL filed in the court as that Orkut has used ’slang, rude and vulgar language’ about the great Shivaji.
The report had caused violence in the city and the Pune police have been blocked Orkut. The Orkut community is not accessible right now in Pune. However, the PIL petitioner has urged to ban Orkut in India.
