
The Bihar government, on the completion of one year in office, has announced to establish the Bihar Development and Investment Council (BDIC) and Bihar Foundation.
It would help the state to develop the path of industrial development. The BDIC will act as a ‘think-tank’ for creating an investment climate. The Bihar Foundation will bring together people who belong to the state for its development.
The CM Nitish Kumar also released the report card of his work in the last one year with the slogan, Development with Justice. He said the first and foremost goal of his government was to cater to all sections of the society with justice.
The BDIC will be headed by the CM himself and will be comprised persons such as Anand Mahindra, Sunil Bharti Mittal, Kumar Mangalam Birla, B Muthuram, Rajshri Pathy, Shankar Acharya and Sanjeev Goenka.
NK Singh, Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board, will be its deputy chairman. The BDIC would guide the state Government to achieve the goals in different sectors.
On the other hand, the Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi will be the head of Bihar Foundation. It will work to assemble all Biharis residing in different parts of the world.
