Now, the Khairlanji killings of a Dalit family has become a big issue in Maharashtra. It has created public outrage in Vidarbha region. It caused also a political storm on the government’s initial lack of action and failure for delivering justice to the Bhotmange family.
Now, the matter has been gone worst. The government’s inaction in this case has caused Naxal’s involvement.
In the last two weeks, violent protests fire-raising, lathicharges, strikes and curfews in many cities has been the fate of Vidarbha.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilas Rao Deshmukh has announced that Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) would investigate the Khairlanji killing incident.
Now, there is a letter arrived written by the Maoists to cause headache for state administration.
According to, IG, Anti-Naxal Operations, Pankaj Gupta, the letter is written on the letter pad of the CPI (Maoists). It is almost clearly confirming Naxalities hand behind it.
The letter has condemned the Khairlanji incident and it asked people to join the Naxal agitation for Dalit rights and to join the fight against the government. It, further, has a warning that the people behind the Khairlanji massacre would be killed.
Following the letter’s spreading, the government has alerted its C-60 Anti-Naxal Squad in the region.
Pankaj Gupta said that the police administration is not taking the threat lightly. The naxalites are promoting people against the government.
However, the Congress MLA, Nitin Raut said that it would be wrong to say that all the Dalits in India are a part of the Naxal movement. This is baseless.

this caste system is stigma to the indian society
we are talking of vision 2020 that india will become superpower
but the incident happenend in khairlanji proved that the indian society stills follow the unhuman practise of caste sysytem that was made by the greatest evil , devil , inhuman Manu
untill and unless we remove this social stigma we cannot progress
what is the use of becoming superpower ” If the comman citizen is being killed on the basis of caste?
really it is shame for us
shame india
shame india
untill we have the feeling of fraternity we stand no where else in the world
Dear amarkhade, u did not make it clear to me where I am wrong. Anyways what the reasons you wrote here are correct. thsi is not the sole story of Vidarbha. It happens mostly in the north Indian states such as Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. This is the complete failure of the Land Reforms Act of Government of India. To get rid of the century-old caste system prevailing in India is not a work of one and two years. This is not the responsibility of government only. The whole society should come forward and show the will power to make this bad tradition as complete non-existing.
And dear amarkhade, I suggest you... don’t say as Shame India. You cannot blame the whole India for any heinous crime committed by some group of people.
