Narottam Sethi, 35, was locked in a mud hut for fifteen years now came out of the hut in a Koshala village in Orissa. The Orissa Police have rescued him. He was declared as mentally unstable man by his parents. His parents had locked him in a room when he went violent.

He was immediately taken to the hospital for the treatment when he became free by the police. He spent his life in the inhumane condition since 1991. His parents claimed that he had become the hysteria patients and turned violent.

The story behind his mental problem is something different. He started showing the symptoms when he was forced to separate from his girlfriend. He had fled with her against the wishes of his parents.

They were later caught by their parents and were separated. This incident made Sethi a hysteria patient.

His mother used to give him food through a small hole in the wall of the room. The room was without toilet; his mother cleaned the room daily.

There are no charges made against his parents by the police because his parents shown no criminal intention.
