No, now no one can say that the rich and the powerful can’t get away with murder (literally), in India at least. The argument has been sealed for the theorists who always believed that it was always the case.
A young aspiring model shot dead in a pub in front of scores by a spoilt brat of a senior Haryana politician. what can the judiciary do when the investigating agencies then the prosecution first drags the issue for seven years before filing a case as weak as it can be.
This is not only a case of justice being delayed or denied. Here justice was not only delayed but delayed so much to make sure that it is literally denied.
The criminals who murdered her must be having a mighty good laugh at not only the family of Jessica Lal over drinks, but all those who thought that no matter whoever they were, they can’t escape the law.

I’ve been thinking of our country ever since the verdict came. I’ really saddened and shocked reading the Jessica Lall murder case verdict. This is atrocious and makes a laughing stock of our system of criminal investigation & criminal justice. This is a Blot on the nation.
