The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) has placed India along with China and the U.S. India along with China and U.S. are on notice of FDI as the diabetes worldwide is spreading at an alarming rate.
Now diabetes no longer has remained disease associated with rich, deskbound and sedentary lifestyle.

The findings show that unlike in the West, where adults generally develop diabetes in their 50s, here its onset is among those in their early 40s, when people are most productive. Indians are at a disadvantage when it comes to diabetes since they are thought to be genetically predisposed to it more than other races. This, according to experts, is because Indians have low body mass index and high upper body ‘adiposity’. Added to this are bad dietary habits, compounded by lack of physical activity, especially in the cities, which make Indians easy victims for the disease...

China and India, with an estimated 39 million and 30 million cases respectively, head the dubious table. The US follows with 21 million sufferers of the more common Type 2 diabetes......
Seems like India has taken the responsibility of topping lists of all the communicative and life style diseases.
