The number of dengue cases are inceasing in Delhi. The disease is spreading against the Delhi government’s all promises of taking steps to prevent the disease. Forget the common citizens; The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has been as dengue-effected place too.
Almost eight medical students from AIIMS has been diagnosed with this disease and admitted to the hospital. These cases have raised a question mark on the dengue-prevention drive running by the Delhi government, as even AIIMS student hostel is not a safe place. It takes the number of dengue cases within the AIIMS campus to 70.
After this outbreak, the Delhi government has created a special task force to deal with the danger of the disease. Last year until this time, there were 86 cases reported in Delhi.
However, this year, nine people have died and almost 350 cases have been reported until date. This statistics clearly shows the failure of the government in taking precautionary measures against the almost certain outbreak in Delhi as it happens every year.
