
Violence has been spread in many places in Maharashtra during the protests. It started after a report of despoliation of B R Ambedkar’s statue in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday night.
The administration imposed curfew in many areas such as Nanded and Pimpri in Pune. During a protest in Worli on Thursday morning, protestors pelted stones and damaged vehicles.
Some of the dalit organisations have called for a strike in the city. Nanded Superintendent of Police Fatehsinh Patil, said that there is curfew from 5 am to 7 pm on Thursday as a precautionary measure. On Wednesday, the protest had gone violent in the town.

Later on Thursday, a 13-year-old boy has been reportedly killed in police firing during the protests. Violent protesters also stopped the Deccan Queen, and torched five bogies on Thrusday.
Earlier, one person was lynched by a mob in Nashik and eight people were injured in the various part of the state on Wednesday night.
Another group of people had blocked traffic on the Western Express highway the Vakola area. Police lathicharged the protestors and cleared the highway.
There was also a report of protest in some part of Mumbai too. Incidents of stone pelting and road-blocks also reported in many places such as Kanjur Marg, Mulund, Bhandup, Navghar, Chembur, Kurar and Worli.
