One of my friends, who writes on some blogs, had a chat with a big name of Electronic media some times earlier. I just do not want to disclose the name of the person, because what the view he is having about the blogging, was completely shocking for us. My friend was shocked so, we were.
Those persons just think that journalism is all about the work what the electronic media are presently doing. Electronic media started in India in early 90s. At that time, the visual telecast of the news was a like a magic happening. People all over the world were being able to see the exact visuals of any particular area within hours of incidents.
However, let me clear one thing that visual media is exceptional in the only case that it does telecast the visuals, nothing else. The kind of analysis that is being done by the bunch of less-known ‘boom-holders’ (most of the time called as journalist), look completely irritating.
The marriages of celebrities, their parties, taking interview of the patient who is about to die,( After Jehanabad Jail break, one of the naxalites captured by police was on the bed in hospital, he died just after replying the questions of boom-holders of some channels), boy becomes national hero if he falls in the gutter, declaring a particular place as the favorite place of suicide’ these all are doing by the so-called journalists.
The scarcity of visuals forced the people of electronic media to ‘re-invent’ the word Citizen Journalism’. This is nothing but the lust of having first visuals of any incident. The channels are running hard to get the first visuals to make good credibility among advertisement world.
Blogging is a platform of participation by the common people on any issue.
The unstructured narrative style of today’s blogs actually harks back to the news reporting of the 1960s.
If the people from electronic media tend to avoid the importance of blogging that means that, they are at one hand rejecting the idea of people’s participation on any news and on the other hand, they repeatedly ask the common people to send the visuals.
News channels are fastly transforming themselves in info-tainment channel. Is this the real journalism?
Tomorrow, I will write on the inter-relation between print media, electronic media, internet journalism, blogging, citizen journalism, yellow journalism and tabloid.

Where are Barkha Dutt and Secularist TV Professionals
The state of Tamilnadu is rocked by sexescapedes of two missionaries Bishop Anandraj and Bishop Yobu Saravanan who have cheated several contractors, married many women and raped many others. Secualrist lobby National TV can only browbeat Shankaracharya,Saibaba and Ramdev. Anything reported on Bishops will be an attack on minorities. So while an ABVP demonstrations make news Bishops raping women and on the run does not merit any coverage
Long Live secular Media
Mr, ANand Raj and Job saravanana, claimed to be bishop is a disgrace on the christian looting gullible people and cheating crores in the name of religion. Is there a full stop for all these? can church can take any actions?
THE VERDICT -
the weekly tabloid of the people for the people
We at The Independent Media Of India, disagree with your comments. We at the organisation, which is all set to launch a weekly tabloid from Mumbai, in the name and style of THE VERDICT think that the readers contribution to the publication would be an asset, apart from the so-called investigations and scoops by the ’paid’ journalists. We hope you would understand what we mean. Many thanks and wish you all the best.
