Thanks a lot for the write up. But you didn’t talk about the competition? How can AutoIndia.com become no. 1 portal of India while it has competition with sites like IndiaCar.com, CarWale.com and BharathAutomobile.com?
950 cars sold in April 2006 alone? There are merely 10000 cars lited on the site in past 11 months which includes bikes and fake entries. Till March, the number of registered users on the site was 4000 in April alone 3000 users got registered, where did they come from? And about hits, 1.5 lac hits a day is not any surprising figure, IndiaCar.com, Carwale.com and CarSalesIndia.com have hits more than 2 lacs a day! And by the way who cares about hits today?
Well, I am not being rude here but you are addressing the India and you must quote the source of your information. This report of yours seems biased!
I think you didn’t read the news fully. Puja didn’t metion their names as No. 1. BTW The press people will always look at the statstics in the press meet and write about it. I think I have read the same news in indiatimes too. They just don’t write any stuffs which you give to them and its against their ethics.
Anyway this FYI. Keep up good reviews
If I am not wrong the term ’top portal’ leads to no. 1 portal. Anyways, doesn’t matter. Being an auto enthusiast I personally find AutoIndia.com nowhere. The site has nothing to admire about. No good information, no updated data, nothing. They could become a leading classified site but considering the aggressiveness of competition, they seem to fail here as well.
I would like to advice AutoIndia guys, people wake up, you are being left far behind. You were doing well in south but bharathautomobiles and carsalesindia has done pretty well.
Cheer!
I recently came across one more site http://www.gaddibazaar.com . I would say they have some cool interface. I have posted my bike on this website and received reasonable response. Also they post on other classifieds so that your vehicle gets sold instantly.
Thanks,
