Mumbai was traumatized on Tuesday evening by another serial bomb blasts. Mumbai locals were the soft target who carries more than 6.5 million people everyday. Mind it, it was the evening time, when the rush was more than any other time in the locals, which is often called the lifeline of Mumbai.
Seven blasts in 11 minutes in Mumbai’s packed local trains brought India’s financial hub to a standstill.
190 persons were killed and another 625 injured in the blasts that took place in first class compartments of trains at Mira-Bayandhar, Jogeshwari, Mahim, Santacruz, Khar, Matunga and Borivli.
At 6:03 PM on Tuesday evening, the first blast was reported from the first class compartment of a local train in Khar station.
This is not the first time that Mumbai has been traumatized by serial bomb blasts. Forty-five people were killed in two blasts that occurred one after another on August 25, 2003. More than 160 were injured on that occasion.
Here are some pictures that will reveal the cruel and inhuman character of people who commit these types of acts.
